The new 2009 Ford Mondeo Range has arrived with safety being of paramount importance and standard across the range are ABS Antilock Brakes, Electronic Brake Assistance and Stability Control. Bluetooth® with Voice Control is also standard across the Mondeo range and this lets you control a bluetooth® compatible mobile as well as the car’s audio and climate control systems - just by using your voice. THe HMI (Human Machine Interface) this intuitive digital command centre helps you stay in complete control of many of the cars systems, such as CD player, radio, trip computer plus more and the rain sensing wipers automatically turn on when it begins to rain.

The Smart Key is a very nifty device that can detect your vehicles unique security code, you don’t even have to thumb the remote, just walk up to the door and pull the handle and it unlocks and deactivates the alarm. And there isn’t even a key to start the motor, just a button. The cars security encrypted sensors automatically ready the engine when they detect the Smart key’s unique code. Just press your foot on the clutch or brake (depending on what model Mondeo you are driving) and press the start button to start your car. You can also open all the windows by pressing and holding the unlock button on your Smart Key.

When using cruise control your Mondeo will automatically ‘adapt’ its speed to keep your chosen distance from the car in front. If the car in front slows down your speed drops too, and when traffic speeds up again, you automatically return to your cruising speed. ‘Forward Collision Warning’ monitors your distance from the vehicle in front. if you drive too closely a warning noise and flashing light activate.

Ford Easy Fuel® is new capless refueling system with a mis-fueling inhibitor that can tell the different between the fuel pump nozzles used for both diesel and petrol and will only allow you to use the correct nozzle.

Dynamic Headlights boost your forward visibility around bends by swiveling with the steering wheel according to your speed and the angle of the steering wheel and front and rear sensors make maneuvering and parking both easier and safer using audible warning sounds which helps you judge the distance between your car and any obstacles either in front or behind you.
